The Prairie High Review is a student run magazine that was created to showcase outstanding student work and to provide a platform for publication. Here, students can send in submissions of poetry, short stories, essays, photographs or videos, as well as other creative works. Additionally, if their submission meets criteria, the artist can be published on the Prairie High Review. A common struggle within the liberal and visual arts community is the seemingly unattainable task of being published and seeing their work in print or official form. Many artists can become discouraged and may choose to discard their dream because they lack the recognition they crave. The Prairie High Review hopes to change this mindset. The Review was created to aid young writers and to create a community of artists who inspire and collaborate with like-minded peers. The Prairie High Review is an achievable goal of publication and a gateway to sharing their talent and ideas with others. The goal for the Prairie Review is to be a useful tool for teachers and students to work together to recognize true talent within the liberal and visual arts. Additionally, The Prairie High Review hopes to gain enough momentum to eventually evolve into a print magazine. For now, editors and writers alike will collaborate to create a gallery of unique, personal, and truly amazing Prairie student work.
